What Causes Swollen Lymph Node In The Left Armpit?

I have a lymph gland under my left arm pit that swells but then goes down ...Aleve does help and it does this when I am in very cold air or wind. I suspected costochondritis at times since it does this over years. I had a chest x ray that just said arthritis. Could it be stress? Mom just died in Aug. Thank you. Rip

Hi, it may not be a lymph gland since it comes and goes. It is possible it is just a ball of fat which is common in young ladies--or a cyst. In any case if it is coming and going on its own--do not worry--regards
