What Causes Swollen Lump Beside Clitoris?

Hi.. I noticed about 2 days ago a hard lump right beside my clitoris. The lump is now slightly larger but not huge and more painful. It s uncomfortable to sit and hurts when I press on it. I ve noticed today that my clitoris in general has swollen and become much thicker.. Any idea what is wrong with me?

Thanks for asking your question on HCM!

I can understand your problem, apparently you are suffering Bartholin's cyst infection may be an abscess which may have occurred due to unhygienic conditions.
Treatment depends on the size of the cyst, the pain and whether the cyst is infected.
Self-care treatment for instance, soaking the area in warm water (sitz bath). make an appointment with your doctor right away
If an infection occurs, antibiotics (Cloxacillin) may be required.
If the pain is severe or it doesn't improve after two or three days of self care
you have to consult your doctor for surgical drainage of the Bartholin's cyst.

Best regards!
