What Causes Swollen Lips, Toothache And Bumps On Palate

my godmother has had a tooth ache since yesterday this morning she woke up with her lips swollen we went to the ER and she was given vicodin for the pain and an antibiotic now a few hours later she feels sick and weak and has a bump on the roof of her mouth and her lips and right face are swollen. What could be the issue?

The tooth pain, swelling over the lip and palate can be because of the tooth infection. The tooth infection has resulted in formation of the pus that has spread to involve the soft tissues(cellulitis).
Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole(if you are not allergic). You need to get a radiograph of the tooth to confirm the diagnosis and once the diagnosis is confirmed, it can be treated accordingly.
