Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swelling in throat with earache. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like ear infection , ear drum perforation or sometimes upper respiratory track infection spread to ear through Eustachian tube. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take ibuprofen for pain and apply dry warm compresses on external ear. You should do warm saline gargles. If pain persist for more then 24 hous then consult ENT specialist for proper checkup . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like gentamicin along with anti inflammatory. Avoid cold carbonated beverages and avoid intake of hot, sharp and spicy foods.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
