What Causes Swelling In The Legs Along With Cough And Breathing Difficulty?

I m really scared my husband has swallon legs and feet , cough ,cant breath , has sleep apnia , high red cell count , very tired all the time, has become obese , skin does not look normal , he is very secretive wont tell me what the dr. says. How worried should I be???

Hi,

You are should immediately take him to hospital.

Since he is having sleep apnea, his current symptoms (pedal edema, cough, secretions, breathing difficulty) are more suggestive of heart failure. So better to consult a cardiologist and get done ECG and 2d echo.

He will need hospital admission and injectable diuretics and other supportive treatment.
