What Causes Swelling In The Labia Minora?

Hi, A couple of days ago I went to see my doctor because I thought I had a yeast infection. Turns out I was right. Today I felt a little itchy down there so I itched it. I started to feel some discomfort and when to check it out in the bathroom. I noticed that my labia minora was swollen on the left side. This is my first time getting a yeast infection is this normal?
