What Causes Swelling In The Feet And Ankles While On Eliquis And Metformin?

I am taking Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation solution breathing treatments 3-4 times per day, Tudorza Inhaler 2x daily - Pro Air Inhaler every 4 hrs. as needed. I was also given Breo Ellipta 200/25 mcg. to take 1x daily. I have COPD with CHF. and my feet and ankles started swelling after starting the Breo. Is this a side effect of all that medication. I also take Eliquis, Furosemide, Metformin, Tikosyn

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Swelling of the feet may be due to renal failure or heart failure or anemia or proteinemia or side effects to Eliquis joint swelling etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
