What Causes Swelling In Lymph Nodes Of The Neck?

I noticed a lump on my neck last Monday, I went to the doctors on Wednesday and they confirmed I had swollen lymph nodes. They said that if they got bigger or were still there in two weeks to go back. It s now Sunday and they have grown from the size of a small pea to a small blueberry. Should I be concerned? Also I have had no illnesses or infections recently.

Hi thanks for contacting healthcare magic.
Noted you have enlarge cervical lymph node.
Yes for two week antibiotic taken...

Now your swelling increase in size ...
So investigation needs to rule out cause for reactive lymph node enlargement.

FNAC needs to be done to investigate whether it is benign , inflammatory , infection or malignant.
FNAC is simple , easy and reliable.
If still doubtful biopsy needs to be done for final confirmation diagnosis...

Here tuberculosis can also be possibility that is ruled out by above investigation.

And according to report causative treatment done.

Take care.
