You are experiencing burning sensation and redness in the throat. You have pain due to swelling throat and a hard painful spot that is making you uncomfortable. You are suggested to give rest to your throat, limit talking and gargle your throat with a pinch of salt dissolved in warm water 2-3 times a day. Switch to liquid or semi solid diet (porridge, oats meal, etc.) so that you don't hurt your throat.
Sometimes, acid reflux, GERD may cause muscle spasms in the throat that may trigger feelings of an object caught in the throat. Tonsillitis makes your tonsils swell and hurt. Your throat feels very sore. Lymph nodes in your throat and neck can swell up too. You may hurt and swallowing food may become difficult. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, you may need a course of antibiotics for relief. In the meantime, you can take pain relieving medicines like Combiflam, one SOS for relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Redness and swelling of throat is suggestive of inflammation in throat. I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist for clinical assessment, investigations like throat swab for isolation of infectious agent and thus management.
