What Causes Sudden Vertigo And Nausea?

I had an episode of vertigo one day when I hopped out of bed fast. It lasted a few minutes but went away and felt groggy the whole day, later that night I was using mouthwash and snapped my head back and I felt it all over again. I ve had vertigo before months before when I moved my head weirdly, but it went away. After I did the epley maunuver. I waited weeks to do the eply manuver and some of the symptoms went away but the naseau is still around. Im 26 and work out 6 days a week and the naseau is getting in the way. I ve taken Dramamine but I feel it only numbs it. Every morning I barley experience vertigo anymore, but I do experience the nasuea. Any advice for me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to Meniere's disease which is a disorder of the inner ear. It is characterized by vertigo and nausea. There is no specific cure for this diagnosis. I suggest you to use Meclizine for the vertigo and anti nausea medication for temporary relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
