What Causes Sudden Rise In Body Temperature?

I have sudden body temperature rises, with no external related cause, such as a predictable anxious situation, etc. It can happen at anytime and lasts until my upper body is drenched, then it disappears, usually after I excuse myself, take off my shirt and cool myself manually, then I am fine. Heart is perfect, age 63, bp low but on 10mg meds, great physical shape...Is it thyroid, if so what would be the solutions

Hi welcome to HCM.
Unexplained elevation of body temperature with profuse sweating can be suggestive of underlying hypermetabolic state, most notably a hyperfunctioning thyroid causing Hyperthyroidism. This can be detected with complete thyroid blood profile for T3,T4,TSH.Treatment includes antithyroid drugs like methimazole and propylthiouracil. The outcome with these drugs is excellent.Consult your endocrinologist for further queries.
Thank you
