Hi There

I would like to tell you that a Bp of 140/90 is considered to be normal. There is no need of any medicine for your BP rather I would like to suggest you to maintain healthy lifestyle habits like daily morning walks, low salt diet, no smoking, avoiding junk food.
Anxiety is one of the most common reason for sudden rise in BP. Yes when a attack of asthma happen it constricts our airways making breathing laboured and difficult which stimulates the sympathetic system of our body leading to some increase in BP and heart rate.

wish you good health
