What Causes Strong Palpitations In The Heart?

I take Ambien 10 mg, last night I was about to fall asleep when all of a sudden my heart started beating really hard and it was kind of painful. I would have called my doctor but they are closed today. I didn t know if it was safe to take it again tonight because I really can t sleep on my own well. I also cut the pill in half.

Dear Patient,

The palpitations may be a side effect of the Ambien. Maybe you need to consult with the doctor who prescribed Ambien to you, if he may switch to a different drug.

If this does not work remember that this kind of palpitations may be frequent if the persons uses alchool, caffeine, some stimulants or asthma medications. Frequent stressful situations may give birth to palpitations.

I do suggest that you try as much as possible to keep your inner peace, and keep a healthy lifestyle with no smoking or alchool.
