My husband had two umbilical hernias repaired Monday morning. He has taken stool softener and milk of magnesia several times since. Today was his first bowel movement and apparently he is now experiencing diarrhea, although not horribly. He has eaten very little for these three days. A California roll Monday evening, a small square of lasagna yesterday and some home made chicken soup last night. He was prescribe Hydrocodone which he took just under the prescribed amount of Mon and Tue and did not take today being concerned about the constipating affect. He is not drinking nearly the normal amount of water that he normally does, being afraid to have to get up too often to urinate. His belly hurts. Inside and out. He felt like he had a fever earlier today, we did not get one measured. This evening he got cold sweats and was nauseous, although did not vomit. I took his temp at 95.7. He just does not feel well at all. I would love some guidance. Thank you
