Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Since Wednesday I have been having stomach pains, which after eating feel the need to move my bowels. My joints ache, and feel as if I m dizzy with my eyes feeling as if they are popping out of my head.. I have not eaten much, and manage to hold fluids. I wake up tired and with a headache.
Your symptoms indicate gastroenteritis or colitis.Adequate hydration with water and oral rehydration solution is necessary to prevent dehydration and fatigue. In case of vomiting or diarrhoea, intravenous fluids should be used. Probiotics should be used thrice a day after food to improve gut health.Any history of fever should be ruled out.Anti-inflammatory or pain killer can be used to reduce joint pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
