What Causes Stomach Cramps And Flatulence After Eating Raw Almonds?

If I eat raw (organic) almonds, I get stomach cramps and gas. I have no problem if I eat roasted almonds. I have been treated twice for Blastocystis hominis parasites. I've read that almonds are helpful in destroying them in the intestinal tract. Is there a connection between the parasites and the reaction to raw almonds?

Hello!

Thank you for trusting HCM!

It may be food allergy. A common cause of stomach cramps is from eating almonds. Cramping and other digestive symptoms are common with an almond allergy that may trigger nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. If you're allergic to it, better to avoid it. If symptoms persist, please consult your doctor. He will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care
