What Causes Stomach Bloating And Loose Motion After Inguinal Hernia Operation?
Hello doc, I have had gone for an inguinal hernia operation 2 weeks ago. The first week it was like all okay however 2 days ago i got a bloating in my stomach with 3 loose motions later on accompanied by fever later. I dont feel much pain by the incision area but i do notice a little swelling. My main concern is fever which is not so high and i feel a little light headed as well. Is this normal? Or should i get it checked out from my surgeon?

I really appreciate your concern, the fever condition may not be due post operative complication, it may be due to viral infection and you can wait for few days till the anti-pyretic like Tab Acetaminophen 500 mg can be tried, for inflammation of wound Tab Ibuprofen can be tried, if the symptom persist for days then you can see the surgeon hope this information helps.
