What Causes Stomach Bloating And Discomfort In An Elderly Person?

I am 72 yrs. old (female) and have expanded my stomach area within the last year. It is so BIG and uncomfortable and I always feel bloated. I don t eat much (1200 cal. per day) but this heavy feeling never goes away. I look and feel as if I were 9 mos. pg. (I had 4 preg. in my earlier life). I am taking PremPro daily. I think I am healthy and active but this bloated feeling never goes away and I seem to be getting larger. Any suggestions? Thanks. Sharon

Madam, The Prempro you are taking like almost every drug individually or combined would also in some individuals likely to cause some distressing symptoms taking variable time. In your case,it is bloating feeling due to relaxed musculature of the stomach and beyond under the influence of progesterone - a hormonal component available in Prempro. So i would advise you to see primary care physician and discuss alteranative modes of same drug administration in modified dose and form and even system and you should do well if you and your body accepts that.
