What Causes Stinging Pain In Left Side Of Chest, Gas And Dry Cough?
Hello. I am having pins and needles sticking me in the left side of my chest, some gas and dry cough. Last week the doctor checked me out and drew blood for cardiac enzymes and everything was fine. What is wrong with me? I also have a slight headache on left side of my heart. Took my blood pressure, it is normal
As cardiac enzymes were within normal limits and blood pressure as normal, thus following is my opinion: - One has to exclude GERD [gastroesophageal reflux] as the first diagnosis of exclusion since most of the time patient is suffering from the same and it does give rise to chest pain, gas and cough]
- Or it could be because of a pleural pathology. Thus, check with a medicine specialist for endoscopy and X-ray chest. - It could be stable anginal pain, so check with a cardiologist for an electrocardiogram, stress test, an angiogram, and investigations like lipid profile, blood sugar and make sure to reduce weight [if overweight], avoid sudden exertion.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
