What Causes Spotting After Menstruation When Trying To Conceive?
Hello, My husband and I have been trying to conceived for the last two months. Last month light spotting started 3 days after my predicted period date and it lasted 3 days after which there was normal to heavy bleeding for 8 days. But since yesterday I see little specks of blood when I wipe. This has happened twice since yesterday and my period ended 9 days ago. I am really confused as to why this is happening. I have PCOS and my cycles are irregular but two months before we started trying to conceive I was on OCPs for a whole year and since then my cycles were heavy but usually 35 days long. Can you please help me with this. I don t understand why I m spotting now.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The spotting you are having can be due to pregnancy or hormonal disturbances or due to local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer. I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done, if negative then do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including pap smear and treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
