Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be muscle sprain and needs an orthopedic surgeons review and physiotherapy sessions as well. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used. X-ray of hip may also be done to rule out any bony involvement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
