What Causes Spontaneous Vomiting With Illness?

about 3 years ago i had bulimia. It is finished now and i have not intentionally vomited for about six months, but over the last two weeks at night time my body just throws up food. it has happened every night. I can't stop it i am not forcing it it just happens spontaneously, is this because of the eating disorder i have been feeling a little ill, do i need to go to the GP?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Seems in concern with nighttime food intake pattern which may be of high content fat, cholesterol and difficult for the stomach to cope with.

Primary care with a change in food habits of supper time, avoidance of sleeping for a period of 2-3 hours, walking 20 minutes after supper will help greatly before reaching your primary care physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
