What Causes Spasms Under Breast?

Periodically, I experience some mild spasms just under my right breast...maybe in upper intestine? Tonight, they have been stronger (not painful), but not constant. I am tending to think that it is digestive in nature, and that I may have eaten more gassy foods today. But, I don t want to ignore it if it could be something more serious. I do have a hiatal hernia and reflux.

Hello and thank you for your question.
Pay attention to the type of food that sets this off. If it is food with a high fat content it could be that you are having some problems with your gallbladder. If the pain gets worse or occurs when you are not eating high fat foods then it may be an issue with your stomach, colon or liver. See your doctor if the discomfort gets worse. If it occurs when you eat a meal with high fat content you may need an ultrasound of your gallbladder.
