What Causes Soreness In Throat With Thick Green Mucus?
There seems to be thick green mucus sitting at the base of my throst. When I cough some comes up with blood. Sometimes there is just blood and the mucus just rattles in my throat. Stuck. Giving me a feeling as if I'm choking. I have lost my voice but seem to have no other symptems. My throat is only slightly sore from the coughing. This is the 2nd time this has happened in the past 4 or 5 months.

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like blood test , vital culture test and throat swab test .You can continue acebrophylline and montelukast for 15 days. Take nebulization with salbutamol and pulmicort. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory drug . For now do warm saline gargles and avoid hot and spicy food .
