What Causes Soreness In The Nipple Of A Child?
My granddaughter is 8y.o.. She complained of a sore spot under the skin by her left nipple. It is small, about the size of a tiny pea...but only half the size I would say. I think it's a small cyst but she said it hurts when pressed. YYYY@YYYY

1. sore nipple in child can be due to variety of reasons,so immediately consult a Pediatrician for proper diagnosis and full evaluation
2. If the cause comes out to be an infected cyst [which although is not serious] she may need a short course of antibiotics to clear it up.
3. It could be possible breast changes [pubertal changes] which causes mild pain/tenderness and/or may produce small lump/cyst near nipple, in that case 'reassurance' is ideal treatment.
