What Causes Soreness At The Base Of Penis?

Hi, I m a 20 year old male. Just recently, I have been feeling soreness just adjacent to the base of my penis on my crotch. It is only localized on the right side, in an area about the size of a penny. In addition, I noticed that, while erect, I have developed a tough, cord-like vein(?), also on the right side of the shaft, that does not hurt. I am not having trouble urinating, getting an erection or ejaculating. As of my last visit with my family doctor my heart rate and BP were normal.

Hi,

If you had unprotected sex - need to rule out sexually transmitted infection.

If not, it can be due to bacterial/fungal infection. Local application of antibiotics/antifungal can help you.

Also, check for blood sugar. The cord-like vein is usually present on a person who uses their penis for excessive sex and masturbation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
