WHAT ARE THE SIDE AFFECTS OF HYDROCHLOROT I STARTED TAKING ONE PILL A DAY FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND NOW I HAVE SUCH SORE LEG MUSCLES WITH LEG CRAMPS AND I NOTICE MY CHEATER GLASSES ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH--SEEMS TO BE AFFECTING MY VISSION -IS THAT NORMAL OR MAYBE DOES NOT HAVE A THING TO DO WITH THE BLOOD PRESSURE PILLS AND IT IS SOMETHING ELSE

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have soreness and cramps in leg while on Hydrochlorot . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like peripheral neuropathy , multiple sclerosis , wernicke syndrome and vitamin B 12 deficiency .

The symptoms can also occur due to side effects of certain medicine like Hydrochlorot , so also discuss about it with doctor . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor will take history , examine physically and order blood test .

Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory along eith iron and vitamin B 12 supplement .For now put your legs in hot water tub with one spoon of salt for 15 minutes. Doctor may also prescribe vitamin E .
