What Causes Sore Throat Along With Rashes All Over The Body?

My daughter has been at a swimming camp indoors all week. She woke up this morning with a sore throat but no other symptoms. This evening she came home with a rash pretty much all over her body. Not itchy or sore. Not raised, just red. No fever. Doesn t feel too bad except for sore throat. Do I need to take her somewhere tonight? Wait and see if it worsens? Watch for other symptoms? Give her benadryl or something for it?

Hello. This sounds like what's called a viral exanthem on her skin but the sore throat could be strep which can cause the same kind of rash so she should see a doctor if not completely better in three days. If there's no itching, there'd be no need for benedryl.
