What Causes Sore Pimples?

HI, I have had a mole on my lower back (near sacrum) for as long as i can remember. Today as I was sitting I noticed it was really sore. It is so low that i can barley see it in the mirror. Looking in the mirror i noticed it was slightly white, i squeezed it to try and relieve pressure and blood and pus came out. Similar to a pimple. I am not sure what to do but it is still very sore.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you are suffering from Multiple furuncles. My treatment advice is:

1. Do not squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an NSAID drug like Ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like Levofloxacin, Cefadroxil and Azithromycin, taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
