What Causes Sore Itchy Eye Post Treatment For Tonsillitis?

About a week ago I came down with a severe case of tonsillitis when I went to see the doctor she said I needed antibiotics right away or would be taken to hospital to go on an IV drip I have been on the antibiotics twice a day and nearly finished them. Over the last couple of days my eye has been sore and itchy but today is very red and sore and looks like blistering on the actual eye ball. A few people have said conjunctivitis. Are the two related?

Read and understood your history of severe tonsillitis for which you needed intra-venous antibiotics and you are almost completing the dosages,
The development of the picture like conjunctivitis due to the following reasons:
- It can be an independent problems and may not be related to the tonsillitis.
- It may be due to the bacterimia causing infection in the conjunctiva.
- It is possible that it is the reaction to any of the medicines you are taking:

Consult You Doctor to determine the cause and get a proper treatment.
A second opinion of an Ophthalmologist should be sought.
