General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to hormonal changes associated with mirena IUCD. It is more seen on the initial days of IUCD insertion and will settle by itself. As a first line management you can take analgesics like mefenemic acid for pain relief. If pain persists better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
