What Causes Sore And Dry Throat Along With Swollen Tonsils?
Hi, I m having dry and sore throat for months. It seems like my throat is burning up to my ears inside, and I always feel pressure on my throat. It gets worse after I keep talking more than a couple of minutes, and I can feel my tonsilar are swelling. I m not getting cold, It should be something wrong with my throat. Could you please give me some ideals what could be the reason to cause this? Thanks. Ring Lu

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
what is ur age? For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like asthma or allergic conditions? Are u running fever? Any other lymph node swelling in ur neck?
have u taken any medications for it before? have u been examined by ur doctor.?
In my opinion you should meet ENT surgeon so that you can be examined and investigated properly.. If i am ur attending physician i will get your FBC ESR and Throat swabs for culture sensitivity. i will put you on antibiotics empirically and will modify my treatment according to culture and sensitivity report.
meanwhile stay calm and avoid cold drinks. use hot fluids along with saline gargles it has got soothing effect upon tonsils. you may also need appropriate antibiotics along with anti allergic plus anti inflammatory drugs. meet your doctor so that u can be prescribed appropriate treatment
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
