What Causes Skin Rashes On Chest And Hands After An Anaphylactic Shock Reaction?
I had an extreme anaphylactic shock reaction to macrobid, I think about 6 months ago, every since then I have had heightened skin reactions, can u tell me if it has something to do with the reaction possibly? At this time I have a reoccurring patch of hives on my chest, bout the size of half a hand, It comes and goes. I take lortidine, but it doesn't seem to have any affect on it, can Benadryl have any affect on it?

From your history, it does not seem to me that the hives which you are having currently is related to your anaphylactic shock. If anaphylaxis is drug induced, cessation of the drug should help to bring the reaction under control.
I hope that you have been instructed not to take medicines of that group again.
Hives ( urticaria) could occur due to various causes like food, medications, intestinal parasites (worms) and even contact allergens. It could be associated with a thyroid abnormality. In many cases, it occurs without any cause (idiopathic).
If loratidine is not helping the hives to come under control, you could try benadryl at bedtime.
