What Causes Sharp Pelvic Pain After Getting Orgasms?

Hi, I have been having a sharp pain at end of orgasm on left side of pelvic area (kinda where menstrual cramps are). I have never experienced any pain before and noticed it for first time about a week ago. I tried giving it a break but wanted to see if pain was still there tonight and it was. Is this normal? I’m freaked out!

Hi there,I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

If you are not having safe and protected sex activity there can be element of infection. That can lead to pelvic pain.

I will suggest you to get a gynecology check up done including per speculum and per vaginal examination.
This will help to rule out PID- Pelvic inflammatory disease.
Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for a broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline 2 times a day for 5 to 7 days.
Please get sex counseling done to know about safe and protected sex activity. This will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
