What Causes Sharp Pain Under The Ribs After The Intake Of Food?

I am experiencing sharp pains in my stomach under my ribs 2-3 hours after eating, ultra sound ruled out any problems with gall stones, liver, pancreas. I am fine if I take prescription anti acids, but what i causing my problem and how can I heal it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It seems that you are having some problems related to your stomach, which could be peptic ulcers(as you said that on taking antacids your pain subsides). If that is the case,an upper G.I. endoscopy ll help you to rule out the possibility of ulcers.
Also please mention your age,and if you have any other habits like consuming alcohol regularly and smoking? Do you eat very spicy food?
If you have any of such habits, abstinence from alcohol and smoking ll relieve you from your problem upto a great extent, meanwhile you are advised to have proton pump inhibitors like rabeprazole with itopride on a daily basis till you are diagnosed.
