Thanks for posting your question to Health Care Magic website,

There are some possibilities to consider about the reasons for having a rib cage pain such as: Costochondritis (inflammation of rib cartilage tissue), Pleurisy (inflammation of pleura layer lining lungs), Osteoporosis (strength and compactness of bones are decreasing), Autoimmune diseases such as Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE), Malignancies, etc.

Additionally, your doctor would attempt to rule out several other diseases which mimic rib cage pain such as:

Heart attack, Pericarditis, Myocarditis, Aortic aneurysm, Gastroesophageal reflux, Gastritis, Esophagitis, Musculoskeletal injuries, psychogenic disorders, Multiple Myeloma, Pulmonary diseases and Pneumonia.

According to the enquiry instructions you posted, my recommendations are:
1.     For the purpose of differential diagnosis, you demand to examine urine, blood using routine tests and specific tests for autoimmune disorders, malignancies, etc.
2.     Assuming that a blunt injury was not found, Chest X ray is suggested.
3.     While test results mentioned above could not lead to distinguish your illness, advanced tests such as CT scan, MRI, Biopsy, etc. are recommended.

Hope you feel better soon,

Regards
