What Causes Severe Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I lost my virginity about 5 days ago, I bled a little bit and it continued for 24hours but I think this is normal so I m not worried. I m more worried about discharge. I usually get discharge, but since losing my virginity I ve had a lot of discharge for me. It s either a yellowish clear, or clear, and it just feels like I m constantly wet. We used a condom as well, so I don t know why it is persisting.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. The rupture of the hymen at the first sexual intercourse causes the spotting which you observed. Some amount of discharge is natural during the reproductive age, the texture of which varies with the phase of the menstrual cycle. Profuse discharge with yellowish tinge is suggestive of some infection. Though you used condoms, it is possible to contract infection. A proper local exam, a swab of the vagina are helpful to locate the cause and plan further management. Hope your query has been clarified. Take care.
