What Causes Severe Pain In The Mid Of The Abdomen?
I was running earlier today and I had to immediately stop as I had this unusual pain in the middle of my stomach. It went from the belly button to the lower right. The pain was intense enough to make me unable to run. It was like a squeezing aching feeling. I went home and it eased off after half an hour.
Later on this evening I felt sick after having something to eat, I only had some soup as I wasnâ??t feeling hungry. I still keep having moments where I feel milder dull aching pain in the same place as before but it comes and goes.
When the dull aching pain is not there I can still feel a sensation. It is not a painful sensation. It is similar to one as if Iâ??ve just done some sits up.
When I press on the area it isnâ??t painful.
Iâ??ve been relieving my bowels slightly less than usual.

At least from your classical history of sudden pain in the middle of stomach which shifted to the right lower region, indicates the possibility of appendicitis.
This can be confirmed by :
Physical examination by a Surgical Gastroenterologist.
CT scan of the abdomen.
Once the diagnosis is made a proper treatment in the form of an antibiotic and metronidazole can be started and surgical option is available if there is a surgical cause.
