What Causes Severe Pain In The Lungs While Suffering From Pneumonia?

I was diagnosed with pneumonia several weeks ago they found crystals in my right lung which r extremely painful my symptoms have gotten worse and the sharp stabbing pain in my right lung is now stabbing into my upper right lung also I cannot get into see my PCP for weeks but the ER I went to treated me horribly what should I do I m very fatigued and weak and my lung hurts

Hello,

The symptoms are typical of pleurisy after an attack of pneumonia.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists you can consult a pulmonologist and plan for a CT scan.
