What Causes Severe Pain In Legs And Knees Radiating To The Ankles?

sudden onset of strong pain on both legs from knees (strong) and going down to ankles - sharp pins and needles. I have had all kind of tests which were fine, Several medications and did not produce results and I have been placed on Gabapentin recently and appear to help, but am concerned with the pins and needle pain in upper limbs.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to nerve compression syndromes like sciatica. A physical examination by orthopedician followed by X ray and MRI if required will be helpful to rule out this. Physiotherapy like TENS, short wave diathermy and ultrasound along with muscle relaxants and neurotropic drugs like gabapentin will be helpful to clear this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
