Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have somewhat severe pain in my elbows (both) when I pick up things with my hands that require me to squeeze. I play a lot of golf, am 56 years old and surprisingly it doesn't hurt to swing a golf club but picking up a gallon of milk is pretty painful. My Doctor at the VA says I have DJD or spurs after an X-ray but it seems more like tendinitis. Any experience?
It looks to me tennis elbow. In this condition there is pain around elbow and swelling in near by tissue. I will suggest you following things 1. Avoid heavy weight lifting 2. Apply diclofenec gel and compression bandage( readymade bands are availble at medical store) 3. Tablet Brufen 4. Some patients need steroid injections
