What Causes Severe Pain In Ear While Coughing?

My trouble with right ear started a month ago. When I was bent over and coughed my ear sounded like I had a percussion instrument in it. Then it stopped up for 3 days and started hurting really down deep and bad.I do not use swabs in my ears but have put oil,peroxide in it. Still have the pain but it is not stopped up.Please help. I do not have any insurance.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain in ear specifically on coun aghing can be due to causes like Eustachian tube dysfunction, middle ear infection, fluid inside the ear etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy, x ray, MRI scan etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin or Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestant nasal sprays like Xylometazoline along with antibiotic, analgesic and steroid ear drops..
You should also avoid excess water exposure to ears,avoid swimming and popping or picking the ears..
