Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM team.

Understanding your concern.

As you mention in your query that you have severe muscle cramps and burning sensation in the neck .Well your symptoms seems to be clear cut complications of diabetes type 2 ,because you have normal calcium and potassium level . The condition in which muscle cramps occur due to diabetes is called diabetic neuropathy .The probable reason for neck muscle cramps is also diabetic neuropathy .Other reasons can be due to vitamin or mineral deficiency , nerve compression or inadequate blood supply .I would suggest you to take over the counter pain reliving medicines like declofenac or ibuprofen take physical therapy for some time ,take rest and you can take certain supplements which are suppose repair nervous system like alpha-lipoic acid and vitamin b12. Doctor may also refer you to dentist or orthopedic surgeon .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
