What Causes Severe Itching After Application Of Astroglide Lube?

I recently used astroglide lube and now have extreme itching and soreness around the opening , i am a female. it doesn't seem to be a yeast infection as there is no discharge to give me that idea. i was wondering if it might be an allergic reaction to the lube? If so what might i do to get rid of it?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description, it could be contact irritant dermatitis due to the lubricant. I would advise that you take oral antiallergic like cetirizine and a mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone or fluticasone twice in a day. if it does not resolve, please meet a dermatologist for a clinical examination and appropriate treatment.
Hope this helped.
Take care
