What Causes Severe Headaches And Bump On Head?

I have been experiencing severe headaches for more than 2days and I am guessing it might be due to migraines. Just now I felt a bump on my head (right side, above my ears, in line with my eyes) its swollen and its painful and sometimes its a pulsating pain. Can you figure out what it might be? thank you

Hi.

Thank you for reaching out to Health Care Magic.

The symptoms you have mentioned sound like a migraine. A migraine is usually seen with vasodilation of the blood vessels in the head. This can cause pain and aura like symptoms.

A migraine is usually triggered by a trigger factor. This can be any of the following -
Loud sounds
Bright lights
Fever
Weakness
Anxiety
Stress
Lack of sleep
Improper diet

Usually, the best way to avoid a migraine is to identify a trigger factor and avoid it. Along with this, the following can help as well -
Drinking lots of water
Sleeping more than 8 hours a day
Massaging the head
Eating a balanced diet
Getting lots of rest
Taking OTC painkillers
Taking a warm shower

I hope this helps. Please reach out to me if you have any other questions.
