What Causes Severe Headache, Fainting, Chills And Tinnitus?

Hi, I had a sphenoid sinus infection in June and was on a lot of heavy duty antibiotics. my symptom was severe headache hard to control. I fainted a week ago, barely out, a few seconds , a few weeks before that I blacked out I think from too much cannibis and alcohol. I feel like I have the flu, but no fever. I have IBS and have had attacks, urge to go to bathroom a lot.Feel chills, ringing in ear more than usual.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to provided history you can have upper respiratory tract infection and it can be in the form of sinusitis or ear infection. You can be prescribed decongestant like Levocetirizine for symptomatic relief.

Your otoscopic ear examination and respiratory examination should be carried out. Headache can occur in Sinusitis like infection as a refereed headache. Paracetamol SOS can be prescribed for that. If needed your further workup will be planned in form of paranasal sinus X Ray.

You should consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination and hope this information will be beneficial to you.

Hope I have answered your query.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
