What Causes Severe Hangover Symptoms Despite Reduced Alcohol Consumption?
Hi , I have recently getting very bad hangover after I have been drinking the night before I would not drink that much and I would be getting sick the next day for most of the day this use never happen before only started happening to me recently is there anything I could do to stop this
It looks like you are getting dehydrated. When you drink you are not taking enough food high in protein that can absorb the alcohol content. Stay well hydrated and well fed even if you are reducing alcohol consumption. Take food good for the liver. You are suggested to get connected to detox center for urgent care and management when needed.
Presently take sips of juice (citrus), soups and water. You can also take ORS to help maintain your body electrolyte (sodium-potassium) system. Take rest after you have taken some food to boost your blood glucose level. Avoid anxiety and stay away from stress. Do not push yourself, take quality sleep.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
