What Causes Severe Fatigue, Back Pain And Joint Pain When Diagnosed With Myelofibrosis?

I am 83 years of age and I was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis following a bone marrow biopsy. My current symptoms are extreme fatigue, back pain and joint pain. I am also having of short night sweats that occur around 3 or 4 in the morning. Blood tets shown low WAC and Hemaglobin . Some people call this a wasting disease. Can you tell me when it reaches the end stage what symptoms can I expect

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to any systemic infection or sepsis triggered by low white cell count and decreased immunity. Individuals can be prone to chronic diseases like tuberculosis or any other chronic fungal or bacterial infections.

Though it can be part of type B symptoms associated with the condition primarily. It's better to get pan cultures done and get a hematologist, as well as infectious diseases specialist review, done.
