Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Dizziness And Extreme Fluctuation In Body Temperature?
Hi. I have been severely dizzy, and cannot control my body temp. I go from from freezing to sweating in a matter of minutes or even seconds. These symptoms have been happening for four days and also severe diarrhea. I just started having right side stomach pain and when I eat I bloat really bad.
Because your symptoms of diarrhea and temperature variation have been there for less than a week, very likely you are having viral gastroenteritis. This is generally self-limiting and you should be better in a few days. Meanwhile, you can take oral rehydration solutions to substitute both water and electrolytes and also paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with pains and temperature. For the stomach, he can take Omeprazole 20 mg 30 minutes before breakfast.
If no improvement in a few days or if he has any worsening or any blood with stools then he will need to see his doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
