Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
Diarrhoea while taking antibiotics is very common is some patients. This is because whilst the antibiotics fight against the infection, it also kills the useful bacteria in the gut leading to diarrhoea. This antibiotic related diarrhoea settles once the antibiotic is stopped/course finishes.
To reduce the diarrhoea, it is good practice to take probiotics whilst you are taking the antibiotics. Probiotics are found in yoghurt and yoghurt based drinks; they are also available as medication in any local pharmacy. Avoid food that irritates your gut –like hot spicy food, alcohol, carbonated drinks, excess tea or coffee etc.
To treat diarrhoea, frequently take sips of clear fluids. It is also advisable to take oral rehydration salts to replenish the lost salts.
Vaginal bleeding after
menopause is of concern. As your last period was more than 1 year ago, you are menopausal. In majority of women the bleeding is because of lack of hormones leading to thinned out lining of your womb which bleeds. But in a small percentage of women, the bleeding could be because of cancer of the
uterus.
As it is difficult to identify the cause just based on the bleeding, I would advise you to see your gynaecologist. She/he would completely examine you and also then take a small endometrial sample (sample from lining of your womb) and sent it for histology. Based on the report findings further management would be given.
Your
Tylenol or
Advil is not the cause for your vaginal bleeding
I hope this answer has helped you
Thank you
